FOUNDATIONS | Urban health & health governance in African cities

This course provides a foundational understanding of health in urban settings, with a strong emphasis on the multi-sectoral nature of urban health and the critical role of social and environmental determinants.

Course objectives

The course provides a foundational understanding of health in urban settings, key risks and challenges and examples of successful, integrated governance and solutions. Learners will become familiar with urban health concepts and understand and be able to apply best practices in their local context to improve the health and wellbeing of their communities.
