This introductory document was compiled using various sources including the work done as part of the Urban Low Emission Development Strategies I (Urban LEDS) on financing the transition to a new infrastructure paradigm in fast-growing secondary cities in South Africa, The IPG Handbook on Environmental Funds, and SANBI’s Framework for Investing in Ecological Infrastructure in South Africa, as well as available lists, databases and directories such as those developed by the Technical Assistance Unit, GIZ and SANBI.
