CoAct for resilience platform
Co-creating solutions for enhancing resilience in informal settlements
Who is this platform for?
We have co-designed this platform to be used primarily by local government officials to support climate resilience building, particularly in informal settlement communities.
The platform is also directly relevant for informal settlement communities, NGOs, research organisations and other similar organisations
Why is this platform needed?
Supporting local government officials to co-create gender-responsive and inclusive climate resilience responses with informal settlements is crucial for protecting lives and livelihoods and adapting to climate change impact.
The platform is specifically designed to support local governments working to build climate resilience in informal settlements.
Our case studies
Through the INACCT project, we have been engaging and working with Durban and Beira to conduct inclusive and co-created research into what climate-resilient measures can and should be implemented in coastal African cities.
