Strengthening agricultural innovation systems in Northern Cameroon (ReSI-NoC)

Timeline: Oct 2020 – Sep 2024
Budget: EU: EUR 2,500,000

Project brief:
The ReSI-NoC project aims to strengthen agro-sylvo-pastoral innovation systems in the North region of Cameroon, focusing on promoting sustainable agro-sylvo-pastoral solutions. Implemented by a consortium including ICRAF, CIFOR, CIRAD, and IRAD, the project supports local actors through capacity building, dissemination of knowledge, technical advice, and facilitating access to resources. The project targets agricultural and livestock farmers, their families, and communities in areas facing resource management challenges like degraded lands, proximity to national parks, and cotton production zones. Local actors involved include research centres, agricultural and forestry schools, NGOs, technical services, municipalities, traditional authorities, the private sector, as well as farmers’ and herders’ organisations. Additionally, the project fosters synergies among stakeholders in agriculture, agro-food, livestock, and forestry sectors by facilitating collaboration platforms, co-creation processes, and interdisciplinary teams.

Welcome to the Cameroon climate adaptation finance mapping tool!

This tool is designed to be a practical, user-friendly resource, enhancing the visibility of adaptation finance flows in Cameroon. It maps current and near-term local adaptation programmes and projects in Cameroon, as of end-2024, using publicly-accessible data.

This first iteration maps international public funding, laying the foundation for future layers and broader replication.

The tool follows a participatory and iterative approach. Built as a living resource, this tool will be updated over time and enriched with additional contributions. We invite collaborators to provide feedback and suggest adjustments and additions to the data.
