Timeline: Dec 2021 – Nov 2024
Budget: EUR 3,000,000
Programme brief:
The programme aims to equip Cameroonian partners with the skills to independently develop scenarios and models for managing soil and water resources amid climate change impacts. It specifically targets the Adamaoua and North regions, where the effects of climate change on these resources are already evident. The main objective is to create participatory models that predict future changes in land use and water management while incorporating climate change factors. Key implementing partners include two research institutes focusing on agriculture, development, geology, and mining, with the target beneficiaries primarily being rural populations, particularly smallholder and livestock farmers.
