Programme brief:
The Programme de Développement Économique et Social des Villes secondaires exposées à des facteurs d’instabilité (PRODESV) – 1, implemented between 2018 and 2023, focuses on strengthening the capacity of secondary cities in Cameroon to manage migration-related pressures and foster socio-economic development. With support from the KfW, the EU, and FEICOM, this initiative targets 15 cities in the Far North, North, Adamawa, East, and South regions. It emphasises constructing public infrastructure, creating high-labor-intensity jobs, and promoting local entrepreneurship to improve living conditions and economic opportunities. By addressing urban challenges and enhancing municipal capacity, the project contributes to regional stability, inclusive urban development, and environmental sustainability.
