Local Governance and Resilient Communities (LG-RCP)

Timeline: Sep 2022 – Sep 2027
Budget: USD 300,000,000 (concessional loan)

Programme brief:
The programme aims to enhance local governance and resilience among marginalised and vulnerable communities in conflict-affected and socio-economically disadvantaged municipalities. It focuses on regions such as the Far North, North, Adamawa, East, South West, and North West, and is designed to improve local public service delivery and promote participatory governance. By building local capacity and fostering community engagement, the LG-RCP seeks to address governance challenges and strengthen communities’ ability to adapt to climate change and socio-economic vulnerabilities.

Welcome to the BRIDGE climate adaptation finance mapping tool!

This initial version of the tool is designed to be a practical, user-friendly resource for climate adaptation practitioners, enhancing the visibility of adaptation finance flows in Cameroon. It maps current and near-term local adaptation programmes and projects in Cameroon, as of 2024.

The tool follows a participatory and iterative approach. We invite collaborators to provide feedback and suggest adjustments and additions to the data.
