Cameroon adaptation finance landscape

Designed for financiers, policymakers, local impact brokers, and national and subnational governments in Cameroon, this tool clarifies adaptation finance flows and gaps and facilitates inclusive local adaptation by increasing transparency and knowledge on these finance flows.

Programme brief:
The programme supports the NBA in completing the legal basis for transboundary cooperation between the member countries and improving the development planning of water resources. For example, it develops joint work plans and optimises the monitoring of finances. In this context, the programme strengthens the competencies of the NBA and its member countries by organising regional training courses and workshops to improve transboundary water resource management in the Niger basin.

Welcome to the Cameroon climate adaptation finance mapping tool!

This tool is designed to be a practical, user-friendly resource, enhancing the visibility of adaptation finance flows in Cameroon. It maps current and near-term local adaptation programmes and projects in Cameroon, as of end-2024, using publicly-accessible data.

This first iteration maps international public funding, laying the foundation for future layers and broader replication.

The tool follows a participatory and iterative approach. Built as a living resource, this tool will be updated over time and enriched with additional contributions. We invite collaborators to provide feedback and suggest adjustments and additions to the data.
