Designed for financiers, policymakers, local impact brokers, and national and subnational governments in Cameroon, this tool clarifies adaptation finance flows and gaps and facilitates inclusive local adaptation by increasing transparency and knowledge on these finance flows.

Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience in the Far North of Cameroon for Inclusiveness – Component 3: Transport Sector Institutional Strengthening

Project brief:
This component focuses on enhancing the capacity of the transport sector in Cameroon. It supports the integration of climate resilience in road infrastructure planning, aids public engineering universities in climate adaptation and transportation planning, and develops a road accident database disaggregated by gender and community type. The component also includes training and awareness campaigns on road safety for various groups, strengthens the Ministry of Transport’s road safety management, and creates internships for female students in the transport sector. Additionally, it develops mobility plans based on community input, prioritising road access, safety, and climate resilience.

Welcome to the Cameroon climate adaptation finance mapping tool!

This tool is designed to be a practical, user-friendly resource, enhancing the visibility of adaptation finance flows in Cameroon. It maps current and near-term local adaptation programmes and projects in Cameroon, as of end-2024, using publicly-accessible data.

This first iteration maps international public funding, laying the foundation for future layers and broader replication.

The tool follows a participatory and iterative approach. Built as a living resource, this tool will be updated over time and enriched with additional contributions. We invite collaborators to provide feedback and suggest adjustments and additions to the data.
