Economic and Social Development Programme for Secondary Cities Exposed to Factors of Instability (PRODESV II)

Timeline: Jan 2021 – Dec 2025
Budget: EUR 12,640,000, including:
– From Cameroonian Government: EUR 3,010,000
– From Participating municipalities: EUR 330,000
– From FEICOM: EUR 700,000

Programme brief:
The objective of PRODESV II is to strengthen the capacity of secondary cities to cope with crises, welcome new arrivals and promote inclusive communal socio-economic development in an environmentally friendly manner, in order to contribute to strengthening regional stability and better migration management in Cameroon.
The second phase of the Programme will support 8 secondary cities (Dibombari, Mbanga, Melon, Nkongsamba 1er, Babadjou, Galim, Bangourain and Nkong-Zem) in the Regions Littoral and West of Cameroon. Support is provided through the implementation of municipal projects – especially the construction of public infrastructure – based on an approach promoting the integration of local entrepreneurship, vocational training and labour-intensive works (HIMO).

Welcome to the Cameroon adaptation finance landscape tool!

This tool is designed to be a practical, user-friendly resource, enhancing the visibility of adaptation finance flows in Cameroon. It maps current and near-term local adaptation programmes and projects in Cameroon, as of end-2024, using publicly-accessible data.

This first iteration maps international public funding, laying the foundation for future layers and broader replication.

The tool follows a participatory and iterative approach. Built as a living resource, this tool will be updated over time and enriched with additional contributions. We invite collaborators to provide feedback and suggest adjustments and additions to the data.
