Programme brief:
The “Climate-Water-Nexus: Integrated Water Resources Management in the Niger Basin (CLIM’O)” programme focuses on addressing water management challenges in the Niger Basin amidst climate change impacts. It aims to enhance integrated water resources management (IWRM) by promoting sustainable practices that align with local needs and ecosystems. The programme fosters stakeholder participation in decision-making processes to improve water governance, enhance resilience, and promote cross-border cooperation. Key activities include capacity building for local communities, development of climate adaptation strategies, and investment in sustainable water infrastructure. The project will strengthen the Niger Basin Authority and its member countries to mainstream climate change adaptation into regional and national planning, implementation, and monitoring mechanisms.

Welcome to the Cameroon climate adaptation finance mapping tool!

This tool is designed to be a practical, user-friendly resource, enhancing the visibility of adaptation finance flows in Cameroon. It maps current and near-term local adaptation programmes and projects in Cameroon, as of end-2024, using publicly-accessible data.

This first iteration maps international public funding, laying the foundation for future layers and broader replication.

The tool follows a participatory and iterative approach. Built as a living resource, this tool will be updated over time and enriched with additional contributions. We invite collaborators to provide feedback and suggest adjustments and additions to the data.
