Cameroon: Inclusive and Resilient Cities Development

Timeline: Aug 2017 – Jun 2025
Budget: USD 160,000,000 (concessional loan)

Programme brief:
The Cameroon: Inclusive and Resilient Cities Development programme aims to enhance urban resilience and promote inclusive growth in Cameroon’s cities. Focused on improving infrastructure, governance, and service delivery in urban areas, this project targets vulnerable populations, including women and marginalised communities. It emphasises the importance of participatory planning and capacity building to foster resilience against climate change and economic shocks, particularly in regions such as Yaoundé and Douala. By integrating urban planning with social inclusion strategies, the project seeks to improve living conditions and promote sustainable urban development.

Welcome to the Cameroon adaptation finance landscape tool!

This tool is designed to be a practical, user-friendly resource, enhancing the visibility of adaptation finance flows in Cameroon. It maps current and near-term local adaptation programmes and projects in Cameroon, as of end-2024, using publicly-accessible data.

This first iteration maps international public funding, laying the foundation for future layers and broader replication.

The tool follows a participatory and iterative approach. Built as a living resource, this tool will be updated over time and enriched with additional contributions. We invite collaborators to provide feedback and suggest adjustments and additions to the data.
